Players can earn six Community Day badges they may have previously missed.
Developer Niantic released Pikmin Bloom in late 2021, and the company is preparing to celebrate the game’s 2.5 year anniversary with a limited-time event.
Pikmin Bloom’s 2.5 Anniversary event will run from May 18, 2024 at midnight local time until May 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time. The event will be split into two parts.
Part One of the event will run from May 18, 2024 at midnight local time until May 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time.
During Part One, players will have the chance to receive seedlings for Koppaite Space Suit Decor Pikmin, seedlings for Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin, and petals for any of May’s seasonal flowers when they open a Mystery Box obtained by destroying a Bizarre Mushroom. These rewards will be available in addition to any of the regular rewards already being given away in these Mystery Boxes (like Diamond Cookies).
In addition, during this portion of the event, players will be able to complete up to five mushroom battles per day, rather than five.
Part Two of the 2.5 Anniversary event will run from May 25, 2024 at midnight local time until May 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time.
During Part Two, players will be able to complete flower planting missions to receive any of the Community Day medals they didn’t already earn from November 2023 until April 2024. Players will only receive missions for the Community Day medals they don’t already own.
If players already have all six of these Community Day medals, they’ll receive a different mission that will allow them to earn a gold Pikmin Bloom cap for their Mii avatar instead.
Plus, if players complete all of the flower planting missions that are available to them before this event ends, they’ll also receive this extra mission that will give them the chance to receive the gold Pikmin Bloom cap.
Finally, throughout both parts of the 2.5 Anniversary event, players will have the option to purchase additional in-game content in the game’s store. Specifically, players will be able to purchase Pikmin Dress Up Costumes, Pikmin Printed T-shirts, and Pikmin Beanies for their Mii avatar, as well as purchase Special Mission tickets that will allow them to earn the game’s first Community Day medal, the Alph, Brittany, and Charlie medals, seedlings for Koppaite Space Suit Decor Pikmin, seedlings for Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin, and seasonal flower petals.
Most of these premium items will be available until May 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time, but the Special Mission tickets for the Koppaite Space Suit Decor Pikmin seedlings and the Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin seedlings will be available until June 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time.
