Boo!
October has arrived, and that means it’s time for Minecraft Spookyfest to begin in Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons.
The Halloween fun kicks off in Minecraft Dungeons on October 13, 2021 with the launch of the game’s Spookier Fall event. According to the Minecraft website, this event will allow players to “fight through new, scarier adventures and earn some menacing gear!” More details about this event will be released later in October.
Over in the regular game of Minecraft, a series of Halloween-themed content updates will be added to the Minecraft Marketplace in October. Here’s the lineup, straight from Minecraft’s website.
- “October 13: The Spooky Gourdian – a free Minecraft Dungeons-inspired Character Creator item based on the Jack-O-Lantern (free until November 2)
- October 19: The Cauldron Cover – a paid Minecraft Dungeons-inspired Character Creator item based on the Cauldron
- October 26: Halloween Fiends – a free skin pack (free until November 2)”
Next, the Minecraft website said, “If you buy select Minecraft items between October 1 and October 31 on the Micrafan Shop (Japan) or on HalloweenCostumes.com (worldwide), you get a special code for a free Minecraft Crafty Costumes Skin Pack with five spooky skins to use in Bedrock Edition.”
Finally, to help bring some spooky fun into the real-world, families can now download printable Halloween-themed masks and stencils from the Minecraft website. You can use these stencils to carve Minecraft-themed pumpkins for Halloween, as well as for other spooky crafts.
