Players can build their own vehicles using Lego pieces.
2K and The Lego Group revealed Lego 2K Drive, an open-world racing game that will allow players to build their own virtual vehicles using Lego bricks.
Lego 2K Drive will take players to the world of Bricklandia, where they can compete in racing events in an attempt to win the Sky Cup Trophy. During races, players will be able to use “power-up abilities” to give themselves an advantage.
As players explore the game’s open world, they’ll be able to play mini-games, find collectibles, destroy objects, and more.
Players will also be able to build their own vehicles using over 1,000 different Lego pieces, as well as a variety of “color designs, stickers, flairs, and more.”
Lego 2K Drive will support single-player gameplay as well as multiplayer gameplay for up to two players in the same room. In addition, players will be able to play online with other real people.
Lego 2K Drive will be released on May 19, 2023 on Switch, PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and PC. The game will be available in multiple “Editions.”
The Standard Edition of Lego 2K Drive will be priced at $59.99 on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and $69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The Awesome Edition of Lego 2K Drive will be priced at $99.99 on all platforms. This version of the game will include “a new vehicle, vehicle flair, and an in-game Lego minifigure.” The Awesome Edition will also give players the game’s “Year 1 Drive Pass.” According to a press release from 2K and The Lego Group, the Year 1 Drive Pass “will introduce an all-new biome, in addition to four individual post-launch seasons of Drive Pass content, each with new vehicles and themes.”
Finally, the Awesome Rivals Edition of Lego 2K Drive will be priced at $119.99. It will include “multiple new vehicles, a vehicle flair, and in-game Lego minifigures.” It will also give players the game’s Year 1 Drive Pass.
Lego 2K Drive is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB. Players can now pre-order the game on all platforms. Players who pre-order the game will receive the in-game Aquadirt Racer Pack as a pre-order bonus.
