Dr. Seuss Thing One and Thing Two Where Are You? Is inspired by the “Thing One” and “Thing Two” characters from Dr. Seuss’ children’s book The Cat in the Hat. The tabletop game is for two or more players with a recommended age of 3+.
Dr. Seuss Thing One and Thing Two Where Are You? has Funko Games’ “Babysitter Approved” label, which is given to games that the company says are “Easy to Learn,” “Easy to Put Away,” and “Fun to Play.”
In each game of Dr. Seuss Thing One and Thing Two Where Are You?, one player will become the “Hider” and will hide a small squishy doll of Thing One and Thing Two somewhere in the house or current play area.
The other player(s) will take turns flipping over tiles in the center of the table or gameplay area. If a player flips over a Question Tile, they can ask the Hider the question written on the tile to learn information about the doll’s location. Each of these Question Tiles features a “yes or no” question, such as “In a room with a waste basket?” and “In a room with a couch?”
Once the question has been answered, the Question Tile is placed next to the “Yes” Tile or the “No” Tile, depending on the answer, so that players can keep track of all of the questions and answers that have been revealed so far.
If a player flips over a “Go Look” Tile, the Hider will flip over the game’s sand timer, and the player will be able to look for the doll around the house until the timer runs out.
If the player finds the squishy doll before time runs out, they win the game. If not, they return to the table and the next player can take their turn. If three “Go Look” Tiles are flipped over before the doll of Thing One and Thing Two is found, the Hider wins the game. Each game of Dr. Seuss Thing One and Thing Two Where Are You? has an expected play time of 15 minutes.
Dr. Seuss Thing One and Thing Two Where Are You? is now available at Amazon and other retailers. The game has a suggested retail price of $17.49, but it’s currently available on Amazon for $15.09.
