Littles can use their imagination to build different shapes.
Toyish Labs launched a new toy line called Clixo, which combines the “folding” idea of origami with magnets to create a unique kind of building block.
Clixo pieces are flat and are made of a flexible “reinforced paper” material that can be curved and manipulated repeatedly. There’s at least one magnet on each piece, which allows kids to connect pieces together to create larger shapes.
To help kids get started, the Clixo website features a variety of example projects and tutorial videos that littles can follow along with. For instance, they can create something as simple as a ball, or something as intricate as a puppy.
In a press release, Assaf Eshet, founder and CEO of Toyish Labs, commented on Clixo:
“Toys need just enough structure to help spark creativity, but not so much as to control it. Clixo isn’t built to collect dust on a shelf. It’s designed to be put together and then immediately be taken apart and rebuilt to form something new. That’s what the real process of creativity is like, and where research suggests we do our best learning.”
Clixo pieces are available in three different packs:
Finally, Toyish Labs also sells an Itsy Triple Bundle for $74.99, which includes three Isty Packs — one of each color theme.
