Fortnitemares 2019 Brings Another Year of Halloween Fun to Fortnite

Fortnite is celebrating this frightful time of year with a limited time mode and plenty of items available in the shop.

Just in time for Halloween, Fortnite has kicked off Fortnitemares 2019.

For a limited time, you can compete in the Storm King limited time mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale for a chance to earn the Storm Sail umbrella.

You can also test your skills in two “community-made” games. First, “Mansion of Power” (by Axel Capek) is a free-for-all game that challenges you to be the first player to earn a five-kill streak without being eliminated yourself. If you get taken out by another player, your streak is reset.

The other game, Gun Fright (made by BluDrive), is a 2v2 game that takes place over multiple rounds.

Finally, you can compete in The Combine to earn the best time possible on the in-game leaderboard.

Over in the Item Shop, you can grab Soccer Zombie Outfits, the Storm King Fist Pickaxe, the Cryptic Curse Bundle, and more. If you buy the Cryptic Curse Bundle, you’ll unlock challenges for you to complete to earn style options for the items within it.

Even if you don’t make a purchase, according to Fortnite’s website, “[a]ll players will have access to an extra set of free challenges. Complete them to unlock Sprays and style options for the Backboard Back Bling.”
