Pokemon Go December 13, 2022 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Players can earn extra experience points for a limited time.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on December 13, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Spheal will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.

Spheal is an Ice- and Water-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Spheal into Sealeo using 26 Spheal Candy, and then evolve Sealeo into Walrein using 100 Spheal Candy.

Shiny Spheal is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Spheal is purple, rather than blue.

To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Spheal to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

In addition, you can activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive for completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you capture during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, two more of these events are scheduled to take place in December 2022. Bergmite will be featured in the Spotlight Hour event on December 20, 2022, while Cubchoo will be featured in the Spotlight Hour event on December 27, 2022.
