Pokemon Go Mythic Blade Event: Keldeo, Crabrawler, and More

This event will allow players to purchase a ticket to receive extra content.

As spotted by Serebii.net, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, revealed details about a “Mythic Blade” event that’s coming soon to Pokemon Go!

The Mythic Blade event will run from December 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until December 11, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time.

This event will have free features that will be available to all players around the world. It will also allow players to purchase a ticket for $7.99 to unlock additional features.

Here are all of the features that will be available for free:

  • Once this event begins, Crabrawler will become available to collect in Pokemon Go.
  • Mankey, Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Combusken, Makuhita, Meditite, and Monferno will appear more frequently than normal in the wild.
  • Poliwrath and Crabrawler will have the chance to appear in the wild, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other Pokemon featured during this event.
  • Meditite, Buizel, Timburr, and Tympole will appear in Tier-1 Raids.
  • Poliwrath, Aerodactyl, Skarmory, and Breloom will appear in Tier-3 Raids.
  • Virizion will appear in Tier-5 Raids from December 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until December 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • Terrakion will appear in Tier-5 Raids from December 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until December 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • Mega Aggron will appear in Mega Raids.
  • Virizon caught between December 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time and December 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time will know the move Sacred Sword.
  • Terrakion caught from December 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until December 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time will know the move Sacred Sword.
  • Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks to earn encounters with Galarian Farfetch’d, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop.
  • Players will be able to complete a Collection Challenge to receive a Fast TM and a Charge TM.

Here are all of the features that will be available to players who purchase a ticket:

  • Ticket holders will receive access to a Special Research storyline called “Something Extraordinary” during the weekend of this event. Ticket holders will need to login to Pokemon Go at least once between December 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time and December 11 at 8 p.m. local time to receive the Special Research.
  • Ticket holders will receive an encounter with Ordinary Form Keldeo as they complete this Special Research.
  • Ticket holders will receive a Keldeo T-Shirt avatar item, 14 Rare Candies, 12 Silver Pinap Berries, two Incubators, two Suber Incubators, two Incense, Pokemon encounters, and more as they complete these Special Research tasks.
  • Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Beldum, Tympole, and Ferroseed will have the chance to appear when ticket holders activate Incense during this event.
