Citrouille: A SuperParent First Look
Grow flowers while avoiding enemies in this challenging platforming game on PC.
Citrouille is a Halloween-themed puzzle platforming game that challenges players to help witches named Praline and Vanille grow flowers on their quest to collect candy across more than 50 levels.
In each level, players must grow flowers by walking across all of the grass tiles on the screen. Players can walk left and right throughout each level, but they can’t jump. They’ll need to use ladders and portals to move from one platform to the next while avoiding obstacles like moving enemies.
Players can temporarily stun enemies, giving them a chance to run away. Users can also pick up weapons like traps and boxing gloves, which they can use to defeat enemies permanently. The game was designed to be challenging, so users need to be prepared to die and respawn a lot while playing.
In addition to a single-player mode, Citrouille includes both cooperative and competitive multiplayer features. The co-op options lets two players team up on the same screen to grow flowers in the game’s story mode. The two competitive modes allow two to four players to compete across multiple arenas. The Death Match mode simply challenges players to be the last one standing, while the Time Limit mode challenges users to have the most flowers on the screen when time runs out.
Citrouille is available to download for $9.99 on PC. As of this writing, the game is currently on sale for $7.99. Citrouille has not been rated by the ESRB, but the game’s website said it is “suitable for all audiences.”
