Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Will Feature Three Stories, Auto Battles, and More
Three new Pokemon were revealed.
Nintendo revealed exciting new details about Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the next installments in the main series of Pokemon video games.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will allow players to explore an open world set in the Paldea region of the Pokemon universe. The games will allow players to enroll at an academy and complete a “Treasure Hunt.”
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will have three different storylines for players to complete. The Pokemon press site offered a synopsis of each story:
- “Victory Road: Players will go to Gyms in different locations to achieve Champion Rank.
- Path of Legends: Upperclassmen Arven will join the player in search of rare ingredients called Herba Mystica.
- Starfall Street: Players will challenge Team Star, a group of delinquents causing trouble for the school.”
In addition, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will include a “Let’s Go” feature that will allow players to send one of their Pokemon in a desired direction to explore the in-game world. That Pokemon will have the chance to pick up nearby items, as well as complete Auto Battles with Pokemon they may encounter.
Finally, Nintendo revealed three new Pokemon that will be introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
First, Armarouge is a Fire- and Psychic-type Pokemon that will be exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet.
Next, Ceruledge is a Fire- and Ghost-type Pokemon that will be exclusive to Pokemon Violet.
Lastly, Klawf is a Rock-type Pokemon that will be available to encounter in both Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will be released on Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022 for $59.99 each. A Double Pack will also be available for $119.99. The Double Pack will include both games in a single package.
