Pokemon Go Tour: Johto Will Feature Pokemon From the Kanto Region

These pocket monsters have something in common.

Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, revealed new details about the game’s upcoming Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event, which will be held on February 26, 2022.

While the event will focus on Pokemon found in the Johto region of the Pokemon universe, some Pokemon from the Kanto region will also be available to capture in the wild.

Specifically, a series of Pokemon from the Kanto region will have the chance to appear in the wild for all players, whether they have purchased a ticket for the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event or not. These Pokemon will have the chance to appear between 9 a.m. local time and 9 p.m. local time on February 26.

These are the Kanto Pokemon that will have the chance to appear in the wild during the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event:

  • Poliwhirl
  • Golbat
  • Gloom
  • Slowpoke
  • Onix
  • Chansey
  • Seadra
  • Scyther
  • Porygon
  • Eevee

While these Pokemon are from the Kanto region of the Pokemon universe, they can evolve into pocket monsters that were discovered in the Johto region. Since these Pokemon will appear in the wild during the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event, players will have the chance to stock up on Pokemon Candy for these species and potentially evolve them into Pokemon they may need to complete their in-game Pokedex.

In addition, during the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event, there will be no walking requirement to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon.

Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you more details about the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event as they’re revealed!
