Pokemon Go: How to Take a Snapshot of Tornadus

You may need to wait a while.

In Spring of 2020, a new Special Research storyline was released in Pokemon Go called “Season of Legends,” which focuses on a trio of Legendary pocket monsters: Landorus, Tornadus, and Thundurus.

As players make their way through this Special Research storyline, they’ll need to take a Snapshot of each of these Legendary Pokemon.

Specifically, Part 2 of the Special Research asks players to take a Snapshot of Landorus, while Part 3 asks players to take a Snapshot of Tornadus. Finally, Part 4 of this Special Research asks players to take a Snapshot of Thundurus. (You can view every task in this Special Research storyline in our guide.)

Here’s everything you need to know about taking a Snapshot of Tornadus in Pokemon Go.

If you have either the Therian Forme or Incarnate Forme of Tornadus in your collection, you can complete this Special Research task quickly and easily by tapping on Tornadus in your collection and then tapping the camera icon to open the game’s augmented reality (AR) camera. From there, you can place Tornadus in the world in front of you and snap a picture to complete this task.

If you don’t have Tornadus in your collection, you won’t be able to complete this Special Research task until you collect one.

You have a couple of options here. You can either wait for a future event where Tornadus is featured and then capture one for yourself, or you can trade with another player to add Tornadus to your collection right now.

Tornadus was most recently available in Pokemon Go as part of Pokemon Go Fest 2021. We’ll make sure to let you know when Tornadus is once again available to collect in the game.
