Different Pokemon will appear in each hemisphere.

The Season of Legends kicked off in Pokemon Go on March 1, 2021. This three-month Season will focus on Legendary Pokemon, including Therian Forme Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus (among others).

Before the Season of Legends began, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, revealed lots of details about what the Season would contain. And now, the developer has provided even more information about this lengthy in-game event.

Specifically, Niantic revealed some of the Pokemon that will be appearing exclusively in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere during the Season of Legends. It also revealed the Pokemon that will have the chance to hatch from Eggs during this time.

To start, here are some of the Pokemon that will appear exclusively in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere during the Season of Legends:

Northern Hemisphere: Foongus, Tangela, Miltank, Shuppet, Finneon, Ducklett, Karrablast, Ponyta, Lotad, and Patrat, among others.

Southern Hemisphere: Paras, Yanma, Stantler, Drifloon, Remoraid, Buizel, Shelmet, Vulpix, Seedot, and Zigzagoon, among others.

Next, Niantic revealed the Pokemon that will have the chance to hatch from Eggs that are collected during the Season of Legends:

  • “2 km Eggs: Growlithe, Cubone, Magikarp, Hoppip, Wooper, Dunsparce, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Meditite, Volbeat, Illumise, Wailmer, Spoink, Swablu, Budew, Minccino, Bunnelby, Fletchling, and Litleo. Volbeat or Illumise will also hatch from 2 km Eggs, depending on where you are.
  • 5 km Eggs: Voltorb, Lickitung, Eevee, Ralts, Feebas, Clamperl, Blitzle, Roggenrola, Gothita, Solosis, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Certain other Pokémon will also continue to hatch from 5 km Eggs depending on where you are.
  • 10 km Eggs: Nincada, Shinx, Gible, Riolu, Audino, Timburr, Darumaka, Emolga, Alomomola, Klink, Litwick, Axew, Golett, Rufflet, Espurr, and Noibat. Sigilyph will also hatch from 10 km Eggs, depending on where you are."

Keep in mind, these Egg pools may temporarily change throughout the Season, as limited time events typically feature different Pokemon appearing in Eggs. We’ll make sure to let you know about any changes if/when they happen.
