Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Red Collection Challenge Guide

You can complete this challenge in one of two ways.

The Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event has finally started in some regions around the world! (As a reminder, this event will take place on February 20 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time).

As part of the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event, players that purchased a ticket will have a limited amount of time to complete 10 Collection Challenges, which ask them to collect specific Pokemon before February 28 at 7:59 p.m. local time.

Half of these Challenges are inspired by locations from the first two Pokemon video games (like the Fuchsia City and Pallet Town challenges), while the others are focused on the ways players can collect the Pokemon required to complete them.

One of these Challenges is the Red Collection Challenge. This Challenge can be completed in one of two ways, depending on which version of the Pokemon Go Tour Kanto event you chose to experience in your game (Red or Green).

Here’s everything you need to know about completing the Red Collection Challenge in Pokemon Go!

According to Serebii, the Red Collection Challenge asks players to collect six Pokemon:

  • Ekans
  • Oddish
  • Mankey
  • Growlithe
  • Scyther
  • Electabuzz

If you chose the Red version of the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto ticket, you can collect these Pokemon by activating an Incense. If you chose the Green version of the Kanto event ticket, you can collect these Pokemon by trading for them with a player who chose the Red version.

According to Serebii, you’ll receive 1,510 Stardust, one Incense, and 20 Ultra Balls when you complete this Collection Challenge.

Remember, even if you don’t finish this Collection Challenge during the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event itself, you will still have the chance to complete it during the 2021 Kanto Celebration Event, which will run from February 21 at 10 a.m. local time until February 27 at 8 p.m. local time. You can learn more about this Kanto Celebration event right here.
