Players can also grab a special version of Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Ahead of Pokemon Day on February 27, The Pokemon Company announced it will host a virtual music concert featuring Post Malone as part of the company’s year-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon universe.

Fans will be able to watch the concert on Pokemon’s YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as the Pokemon 25th anniversary website. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET on February 27.

This Post Malone concert will be the first event in Pokemon’s “P25 Music” program, which, according to a press release, “is a collaboration with some of music’s biggest names to create new songs, styles, and pop-culture moments, all through the lens of Pokémon.” Earlier this year, Pokemon announced Katy Perry will also participate in this program.

In addition to hosting this concert, The Pokemon Company will give away a special version of Pikachu that knows the move Sing in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The Pokemon Company will release the password players can use to claim this Pikachu on February 25. Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll make sure to let you know what the password is and how to claim your special Pikachu at that time.

Finally, starting on February 26, fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) will be able to purchase a new Pokemon Trading Card Game: First Partner Collector’s Binder at participating stores. The binder is designed to hold the oversized Pokemon TCG cards that feature the franchise’s starter Pokemon, which will be released throughout 2021. The binder will also feature the Pokemon 25th anniversary logo.

The first “First Partner Pack” of oversized cards will be released on March 6, and it will feature the starter Pokemon from the Galar region of the Pokemon universe (Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble from Sword and Shield).
