Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Get the Valentine's Day Items
Everything you need to know!
Valentine’s Day is February 14, and while Animal Crossing: New Horizons won’t hold a full event for the holiday, you can still celebrate on your island by adding two Valentine’s Day-themed items to your collection: a Chocolate Heart and a Heart-Shaped Bouquet.
Here’s how to get these Valentine’s Day items!
Before we begin, keep in mind that these items are considered decorations by the game. This means you can only display these items like you would a piece of furniture. Your character can't hold them in their hands.
Head into the Resident Services building and interact with the Nook Stop terminal.
Choose “Nook Shopping.” (Remember, if you’ve unlocked the Nook Shopping app on your NookPhone, you can access the Nook Shopping catalog from anywhere, without being required to visit Resident Services.)
Select “Special Goods.”
Press “L” on your controller to move to the Seasonal items tab.
Highlight either the Chocolate Heart or the Heart-Shaped Bouquet and press A to select it.
If you want to purchase the item for yourself, or to send to someone at a later time, select “Place Order.” If you want to send the item to a friend instantly, choose “Send as Gift.” Both items cost 1,200 Bells each.
Remember, if you choose “Place Order,” you won’t receive the item you purchased until the next day.
These Valentine’s Day items will only be available to purchase until February 14.
Finally, here's one more thing to keep in mind: Different players may have different versions of these items available to purchase. For instance, we’ve seen brown and white versions of the Chocolate Heart. If you want to collect every item, you can reach out to friends to see which versions they have available to purchase, or use a site like Nookazon to trade with others around the world!
