The Pokemon Shirts Company Now Sells Pokemon Masks

These aren't medical masks.

Back in 2019, clothing company Original Stitch and The Pokemon Company launched “Pokemon Shirts,” a service that allows shoppers to customize and purchase shirts made with Pokemon-themed fabrics.

Earlier this month, Original Stitch expanded its line of Pokemon-themed apparel by introducing Pokemon Bandannas, and now, the apparel line is expanding again with the release of Pokemon Masks.

Similar to the Pokemon Bandannas line, the Pokemon Masks line allows fans to choose from 151 different Pokemon-themed fabrics, with one fabric representing each of the 151 different pocket monsters from the first generation of the Pokemon universe (those seen in Pokemon Red and Blue).

In addition to choosing the Pokemon-themed fabric that goes on the front of the mask, shoppers can choose from four different colors of mesh fabric for the back of the mask. These masks are meant to be “fashion items” -- they are not medical masks.

In a press release, Marina Carroll, marketing manager at Original Stitch, commented on the release of Pokemon Masks:

“In April 2020, there was a promotion to give customers who purchased shirts a mask as a way to thank them for their support. We had such positive feedback from the community, we decided to make masks an official product in our lineup. To us, in light of world events, this is our most important—and timely—offering since launch, and one that will become a stylish essential for your 2021 wardrobe.”

Each Pokemon Mask costs $18. They’re available now on the Original Stitch website.
