You can decide which Pokemon to collect.

From Combee to Kirlia, there are quite a few Pokemon that have unique evolutionary families or requirements in Pokemon Go. Some Pokemon need to be a certain gender in order to be evolved, while others require you to walk with them as your Buddy Pokemon before evolving them.

Another one of these unique Pokemon is Oddish, which has two final evolutions to choose from: Vileplume and Bellossom.

Here’s everything you need to know about evolving Oddish in Pokemon Go!

Oddish’s evolution starts out simply. You can evolve Oddish into Gloom using 25 Oddish Candy.

From there, you’ll have a decision to make. That is, you can evolve Gloom into either Vileplume or Bellossom, depending on the Pokemon you want to have at the end.

If you want to evolve Gloom into Vileplume, you’ll need to spend 100 Oddish Candy. If you want to evolve Gloom into Bellossom instead, you’ll need 100 Oddish Candy and a Sun Stone evolutionary item.

There’s no trick to evolving Gloom into either of these Pokemon. That is, you don’t have to worry about Gloom’s gender, stats, etc. You simply need to collect the required item(s) and press the Evolve button for the Pokemon you want to receive.

And that’s all there is to it! To learn more about Pokemon Go, or to view the rest of our guides for the game, check out our previous coverage.
