Children's authors will read portions of their books for listeners.

Build-A-Bear announced a new Story Time program that will be featured on Build-A-Bear Radio, its online radio station that’s available to stream for free through iHeart Radio and iHeart Radio Family.

Premiering on July 20, 2020, Story Time will feature HarperCollins Children’s Books authors, who will read excerpts from their books each weekday at 12 p.m. PT. Different authors and books will be featured each week to give kids different titles to listen to.

You can see the full selection of books that will be featured on Build-A-Bear’s Summer Reading List. There are 14 books on the list, as of this writing, and they have different recommended age ratings. There are multiple entries recommended for ages 4+, while some are for older kids, ages 8 and up.

In a press release, Build-A-Bear commented on Story Time:

“With many families staying close to home this summer, Story Time on Build-A-Bear Radio is a great way to go on new adventures and keep your brain working all from the comfort of your favorite reading nook with a furry friend by your side!”
