Roblox: Support COVID-19 Relief by Purchasing Premium Items

Roblox is raising money for No Kid Hungry, UNICEF USA, and Code.org.

Social game platform Roblox is raising money for three organizations (No Kid Hungry, UNICEF USA, and Code.org) to support their fight against COVID-19.

As part of a limited time promotion, nine different premium items are now available to purchase in Roblox. These items are split into three groups of three, based on the organization they will benefit.

Some of these items were created by Roblox community members -- polarcub, xSkxia, Rush_X, Yourius, CaioAlbarnBR, and Mimi-Dev.

Here are links to the nine items, as well as how much they cost in Robux, the game’s premium currency:

No Kid Hungry

  • Green Apple Headphones - 25 Robux
  • Cookie Ears - 75 Robux
  • Burger Bunsie - 150 Robux

UNICEF USA

  • Heart Face Mask - 25 Robux
  • Thank You Balloons - 75 Robux
  • Real Life Heroes Cape - 150 Robux

Code.org

  • Coder Mask - 25 Robux
  • Book of Coded Lore - 75 Robux
  • Blue Motherboard Sword - 150 Robux

Each time one of these items is purchased, Roblox will donate a set amount to the organization they’re associated with. The conversion rate here is 1 Robux equals $0.01. That means buying the Green Apple Headphones will result in a donation of 25 cents to No Kid Hungry, while purchasing the Blue Motherboard Sword will result in a $1.50 donation to Code.org, as examples.

These items will be available to purchase until June 30, or until the combined total for all donations reaches $1 million (whichever comes first).

In addition to these donations, the Roblox blog said, “Roblox will also donate up to an additional $1,000,000 to match what you have spent amongst the three organizations.”
