Pokemon Go April 2 Mystery Bonus Hour: Everything You Need to Know

If you need more Stardust, here's your chance!

Trainers, Pokemon Go's first Mystery Bonus Hour event in April is happening Thursday, April 2, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

According to users on The Silph Road subreddit (a community of Pokemon fans), tonight’s Mystery Bonus Hour will allow you to earn twice the normal amount of Stardust for every Pokemon you capture.

If you have an Incense available, we recommend using one during the Mystery Bonus Hour so that more Pokemon will spawn near you during this one-hour event. Or, if you’re willing to head outside, we suggest heading to an area with lots of PokeStops or Gyms, since they’ll likely have multiple Pokemon spawn nearby.

Finally, keep in mind that Niantic recently doubled the “Gym interaction distance” in Pokemon Go, so that you can be farther away from a Gym and still be able to interact with it. This is a temporary change, and it only applies to Gyms, not PokeStops. We’ll let you know if more changes are made to the game's features in the future.

Are you excited about tonight’s Mystery Bonus Hour event? Let us know in the comments, or tweet us at @superparenthq.
