Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Grow a Money Tree
Who says money doesn't grow on trees?
As you play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you may come across glowing spots in the ground. When you use a shovel to dig into these spots, you’ll receive a bag of buried Bells!
While you’re free to simply dig up the bag of Bells and then fill in the hole, did you know you can bury more Bells in the hole to grow a money tree?
When you bury Bells in one of these glowing holes, it will grow a money tree containing three times the amount of Bells you initially buried. So, for instance, if you bury 1,000 Bells in the hole, your money tree will give you 3,000 Bells when it’s fully grown. As reported by Shacknews, you can bury anywhere between 100 and 10,000 Bells to receive three times your money back.
If you want to grow your own money trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, just follow these steps!
When you see a glowing spot on the ground, interact with it with your shovel.
You’ll receive a bag containing 1,000 Bells.
Open your inventory and select the Bells you’re carrying (not the bag of 1,000 you just dug up, unless you just want to bury 1,000 Bells).
Select the amount of Bells you want to bury in the ground, up to a maximum of 10,000.
Select the bag of Bells in your inventory and choose “Bury in Hole.”
Your character will plant the bag of Bells in the ground, and a baby tree will appear!
After a few days, the tree will grow and sprout three bags of Bells for you to collect, just like you’d collect fruit from a fruit tree.
Shake the tree and collect those bags to add the Bells to your wallet!
