Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Know You've Donated Something to the Museum

The game keeps track of this information for you.

With so many bugs and fish available to collect in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it can be difficult to remember which ones you’ve donated to Blathers at the Museum, and which ones you haven’t.

Thankfully, the game keeps track of the items you’ve donated so you don’t have to remember. And you don’t even have to visit the Museum to see the items you’ve donated!

To view the items you’ve donated, just follow these steps.

Open your NookPhone and select “Critterpedia.”

Move your cursor on top of a bug or insect. If you see an owl symbol next to the critter’s name, you know the critter has already been donated.

If you don’t see an owl symbol next to the critter’s name, this animal isn’t in the museum.

And that’s all there is to it! If you come across a bug or fish and you’re not sure whether or not you’ve donated it, just head into the Critterpedia and look for that owl symbol to know for sure!
