Pokemon Go: Watch Out for Shiny Abra During March Community Day
The Psychic-type Pokemon will spawn more frequently than normal for a limited time.
Trainers, it’s almost time for March’s Pokemon Go Community Day event!
On March 15, 2020, Abra will appear more often than normal in the wild for three hours, though the exact timing of the event will depend on where you live. For players in the northern hemisphere, this event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. For trainers in the southern hemisphere, the event will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time.
Abra is a Psychic-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. It has two evolutions: Kadabra and Alakazam. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Abra into Kadabra using 25 Pokemon Candy, and then evolve Kadabra into Alakazam using 100 Abra Candy. However, if you trade Kadabra to another trainer, the Candy cost for the other trainer to evolve it will be reduced to zero thanks to the game’s “trade evolution” feature.
During March’s Pokemon Go Community Day event, you’ll earn three times the normal amount of experience points when capturing Pokemon, and Lure Modules will remain active for three hours when placed on a PokeStop, rather than the standard 30 minutes. Remember, this Lure Module boost will only happen if you place the Lure Module on a PokeStop within the three-hour Community Day window.
Finally, since Community Day events give us the chance to encounter the Shiny version of the featured Pokemon, make sure to watch out for Shiny Abra during this month’s event!
