Nintendo's Airport Lounges Let You Demo Switch Games and Grab Free Goodies

Try before you fly.

If your family is set to do any flying this Spring, you may have the chance to try out the Nintendo Switch and some games while waiting for your flight.

Later this February, four “Nintendo Switch lounges” will open at airports across the United States, which will allow visitors to demo the Nintendo Switch (in both handheld and TV mode) and try a variety of games, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party, and Tetris 99.

While visiting a lounge, travelers can purchase a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite, which will be shipped to them. When someone buys a Switch system from one of these lounges, they’ll receive a free Switch carrying case while supplies last.

Plus, even if travelers don’t make a purchase, they can receive a free “Nintendo Switch branded luggage handle wrap and a $10 coupon from Target to use on any Nintendo purchase of $75 or more” just for visiting a lounge, though these items will also be available while supplies last.

Here’s where you can find the four Nintendo Switch airport lounges later this year:

  • Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. - February 17 - March 29, 2020
  • Seattle - Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Washington - February 17 - March 29, 2020
  • O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois - February 17 - March 29, 2020
  • Dallas Love Field Airport in Dallas, Texas - February 13 - March 26, 2020

These lounges will be located behind security, so you’ll need to be a ticketed passenger to visit them.
