A few changes have been made to some yearly events.
As Polygon spotted, the next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released on April 28. It will prepare the game for a number of seasonal events that will take place over the next two months (May and June 2021).
If you’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons since the game was released in March 2020, these events will likely be familiar to you, since they also took place last year. However, there are a few differences worth mentioning.
First, the game’s May Day event will run from April 29 to May 7. This event will give all players a free May Day ticket they can use at the airport to travel to a special Mystery Island where they can explore a maze to meet Rover. You can only travel to this island once between April 29 and May 7. Head over to our guide to learn more about how this event works.
Next, the game’s Stamp Rally is returning to the museum in celebration of International Museum Day on May 18. The Stamp Rally will run from May 18 to May 31. During this event, you can visit Blathers at the museum to receive a stamp card, and then visit different stamp stations around the museum to receive stamps on that card. Check out our guide to see how this event worked last year.
The museum’s art gallery wasn’t included in last year’s Stamp Rally (it was a fairly new area at the time), but it will be included this year. This should mean players can receive a fourth plaque — an Art plaque — for completing the Art stamp card. We’ll make sure to let you know if that’s the case.
Wedding Season will also take place this year from June 1 to June 30. During this time, you can head to Harvey’s Island and help Reese and Cyrus take their anniversary wedding photos in order to earn lots of wedding-themed decorations you can place around your own island. Check out our guide for more.
For this year’s Wedding Season, new wedding-themed furniture and clothing items will be available to purchase in the Nook Shopping catalog and Able Sisters shop throughout the month of June.
Finally, a variety of seasonal items will be sold in the Nook Shopping catalog during May and June. On Nintendo’s website, Nintendo said we can expect to see items related to “Mother’s Day, Cheese Rolling, and more!”
Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you more details about these new seasonal items as they’re revealed.
