Complete these tasks to receive an encounter with Ho-Oh!
Trainers, Week 2 of the Pokemon Go Throwback Challenge event has officially started! This week, the Throwback Challenge is focused on the Johto region of the Pokemon universe, and it gives you nine new sets of tasks to complete to earn a variety of in-game rewards, including an encounter with Ho-oh that knows the battle move Earthquake.
Here’s what the Johto Timed Research Tasks ask you to do, and the prizes you’ll receive for completing them. Keep in mind that these tasks will only be available to complete until May 15 at 1 p.m. local time. If you don’t finish them by then, they’ll disappear!
Before we begin, here’s something to note: Originally, players were supposed to receive 10 Rare Candies for completing these tasks. However, the game will now only give you 5 Rare Candies, instead of 10. On Twitter, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said you’ll be able to claim the other five Rare Candies “on the first page of the Hoenn Throwback Timed Research,” which begins next week.
