Here's what you need to know about this river fish.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you have the chance to collect and donate a wide variety of fish and insects, with different creatures appearing during different times of the year, and even different times of the day. In this guide, we’ll take a look at one of the fish that you can only capture at night: the saddled bichir.
Players with islands in the Northern Hemisphere can catch saddled bichir from June to September. According to Prima Games, players with islands in the Southern Hemisphere can find this fish between December and March. The saddle bichir can appear in rivers at any time between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.
The saddled bichir has a large shadow. Check out our gameplay clip below to see the exact shadow you’re looking for when you want to capture this river fish.
If you want to try and speed up your search for a saddled bichir, remember that you can toss Fish Bait into the river to cause random fish to appear in front of you. There’s no guarantee that a saddled bichir will appear, but this method will allow you to “check” lots of fish pretty quickly.
Finally, a saddled bichir can be sold at Nook’s Cranny for 4,000 Bells.
