The expansion is themed after a trainer's quest to collect gym badges.
The Pokemon Company revealed the next expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG). It’s called Champion’s Path, and it’s inspired by the journey a player takes to collect all eight Gym badges in the Galar region in the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield video games.
This expansion will allow players to collect eight pins representing the eight Gyms from the Galar region, as well as foil trading cards that feature the partner Pokemon of each of the Galar region’s Gym leaders. Pins will be sold with their corresponding foil cards in “Champion’s Path Pin Collections,” which will also include Champion’s Path booster packs.
In addition, the Champion’s Path expansion will include 11 Pokemon V cards, four full-art Pokemon V cards, three Pokemon VMAX cards, and one full-art Supporter card. As a few examples, this expansion will feature Venusaur, Lucario, and Incineroar as Pokemon V, as well as Drednaw VMAX and Alcremie VMAX.
The full Champion’s Path expansion will launch over a few months, with the first items in the expansion being released on September 25, 2020. Here’s the full timeline of when these products will be released.
