The Pokemon Company has partnered with Longchamp Paris to release a series of Pikachu-themed bags on Longchamp’s website in October 2020. To celebrate this collaboration, as well as Paris Fashion Week, Pokemon Go will be throwing a fashion-themed in-game event.
The “Paris Fashion Week” event will run from October 2 at 8 a.m. PT until October 8 at 10 p.m. PT.
During this time, you’ll be able to collect a variety of “fashionable” Pokemon that are wearing special costumes. Specifically, Smoochum that are wearing bows will be available to hatch from 7 km Eggs, while Kirlia and Shinx that are wearing top hats will appear in Raids. As an extra bonus, these Kirlia will know the move Draining Kiss.
Finally, Croagunk that are wearing a backwards cap will be available to encounter by taking a Snapshot of one of your Pokemon. In a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said these costumed Croagunk “may also rarely appear in the wild.”
During the Paris Fashion Week event, Mareep, Skitty, Roselia, Kricketot, Blitzle, Cottonee, Minccino, Gothita, and others will be appearing in the wild. Plus, there’s the chance you may run into Shiny Kricketot.
You’ll also be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this time.
Finally, once this event begins, you’ll be able to dress up your in-game avatar with a digital version of one of Longchamp’s Pikachu-themed backpacks.
