Did someone say bonus experience points?
To celebrate the upcoming arrival of the Go Beyond update in Pokemon Go (it’s coming the week of November 30), a 12 Days of Friendship event will kick off this week.
The 12 Days of Friendship event will run from November 18 at 1 p.m. PT until November 30 at 1 p.m. PT.
During this time, your in-game friendship levels will increase faster than they normally do when you open Gifts, trade Pokemon, and battle with friends in Raids, Gym battles, and trainer battles.
Plus, when you battle with friends in Raids during this event, you’ll receive a boost to your attack power. You’ll also receive more experience points for completing Raids during this time, and you’ll be able to open more in-game Gifts than you normally can each day.
Finally, while the 12 Days of Friendship event will officially end on November 30, one final bonus will remain active even after this event ends. From November 18 until December 31, you’ll earn two times the normal amount of experience points for each and every Pokemon you catch.
This experience point boost may help some players reach Level 40 before the end of the year. Players who reach this milestone by December 31 will receive exclusive rewards, such as a Legacy 40 Medal for their profile and access to Timed Research tasks that will reward them with a Gyarados Hat for their avatar.
