Watch out for Shiny Luvdisc!
It’s Tuesday, which means another Spotlight Hour event is right around the corner in Pokemon Go!
On February 16 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Luvdisc will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon. This experience point bonus will apply to every Pokemon you capture during this Spotlight Hour event, and not just Luvdisc.
Luvdisc is a Water-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. It doesn’t have any evolutions.
Even if you already have plenty of Luvdisc in your collection, here’s something to keep in mind: Luvdisc can be Shiny in Pokemon Go (it’s yellow, rather than pink). Since you’ll be able to encounter so many Luvdisc during this Spotlight Hour event, your chances of finding one of these Shiny versions will technically be increased.
To make the most of this event, remember to activate an Incense to attract more wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. Also remember that you can activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you earn for 30 minutes. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the event’s XP bonus, allowing you to earn a ton of experience points in a short amount of time!
Following this week’s event, there’s one more Spotlight Hour to look forward to in February. On February 23, Pikachu will be the featured Pokemon, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
