Turn your flowers into colorful crafting materials!
As players make their way through Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, they’ll unlock crafting recipes that allow them to create a variety of furniture and decoration items that they can place around their farm or in their cabin.
Some of these crafting recipes require dyes to complete. These dyes allow the finished projects to have a particular color.
You can purchase a few dyes at the Flower Shop, or you can create your own dyes in the Dye Maker machine.
Once you unlock the Dye Maker recipe, you can craft this machine using three Iron Ingots and three Silver Ingots. From there, you can insert different kinds of flowers into the machine to convert them into dyes.
The Dye Maker will only accept flowers that are grown like crops — flowers like the Hibiscus, Petunia, and Nemophila, as a few examples. Wildflowers that you find randomly growing on your farm — like the Magic Red Flower or Moondrop Flower — can’t be turned into dyes.
The number of dyes you receive from each flower seems to be determined by the flower’s star quality. For instance, a zero-star Petunia will only become one Green Dye, while a two-star Petunia will become two Green Dyes.
The process of turning a flower into dye(s) takes two in-game hours to complete. Remember, you can build more than one Dye Maker for your farm if you want to create multiple dyes at the same time.
Depending on how many Dye Makers you create for your farm, it may take you a while to create all of the dyes you need for the crafting recipes you want to make. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play Pioneers of Olive Town (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch.
