Players can use this information to decide which Egg to incubate first.
Pokemon Go players can now see which Pokemon may be inside the Eggs they collect before they place them into an Incubator.
This update won’t tell players the exact Pokemon contained in each Egg, but it will let them see all of the possibilities, which are listed alongside their rarities on a scale from “one Egg” (most common) to “five Eggs” (rarest).
To view all of the Pokemon that may be in an Egg, players can tap an Egg in their inventory and scroll down to the “Hatchable Pokemon” list. For instance, in our screenshot below, you can see all of the possible Pokemon that may be inside a 7 km Egg we currently have in our inventory.
In this example, the screenshot shows Alolan Geodude is the most common Pokemon in the group (meaning the Egg is most likely to contain that Pokemon), while Galarian Darumaka is the least likely to hatch from this Egg.
On Twitter, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said this feature is only available for Eggs that were collected after the feature was implemented. That is, if you still have older Eggs in your inventory, you won’t be able to see the list of Pokemon that may be inside.
In addition, Niantic said this feature will not tell you whether or not each Pokemon has the chance to be Shiny.
