This event is all about Ditto.
It’s April Fools’ Day, and a one-day event has kicked off in Pokemon Go!
There are multiple parts to Pokemon Go’s April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22 event, and they’re all focused on Ditto.
To start, players can collect a Special Research storyline called “April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22” by logging into Pokemon Go on April 1, 2022 between 12 a.m. local time and 11:59 p.m. local time. You can learn more about these Special Research tasks in our guide.
In addition, beginning at 12 a.m. on April 1, 2022, Ditto will begin appearing as different Pokemon in the wild.
Next, from 5 p.m. local time until 8 p.m. local time on April 1, Ekans, Gastly, Natu, Surskit, Finneon, Dwebble, and Swirlix will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, but players won’t know which ones are actually Ditto.
Finally, players will be able to collect Ditto-themed stickers by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them in the in-game store.
