Players can earn bonus experience points.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on June 21, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Spinarak will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
Spinarak is a Bug- and Poison-type Pokemon from the second generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Spinarak into Ariados using 50 Spinarak Candy.
Shiny Spinarak is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Spinarak is blue, rather than green.
To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Spinarak to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
If you plan to evolve lots of Pokemon during this event to earn the bonus experience points, you can also activate a Lucky Egg to earn even more experience points. The Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you evolve during this event.
Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there’s still one more of these events scheduled to take place in June 2022. During the Spotlight Hour event on June 28, Pikachu wearing a Pokemon TCG hat will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
