Visitors can decorate virtual homes with items inspired by real-world West Elm products.
Design company West Elm launched a metaverse experience on Roblox called West Elm Home Design, which will allow visitors to decorate virtual homes with more than 150 products from the West Elm catalog.
While many Roblox experiences feature “cartoony” graphics, the West Elm Home Design experience features photorealistic environments that players can explore using their Roblox avatar.
The West Elm Home Design experience allows visitors to explore two virtual areas: the West Elm Hub and the West Elm Neighborhood. The West Elm Hub features a virtual furniture store, coffee shop, and “merchandise boutique,” while the West Elm Neighborhood allows visitors to decorate modern homes with virtual versions of real West Elm products.
As players explore the West Elm Home Design experience, they can play mini-games, complete design challenges, and more. Players can also collect West Elm-branded accessories for their Roblox avatar, including t-shirts, hats, and bags, among others.
Going forward, West Elm will update the West Elm Home Design experience with new content as it releases new products in the real-world.
The West Elm Home Design experience is now available for free on Roblox. The experience has an age rating of “All Ages.”
