Players can earn extra experience points for a limited time.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on May 28, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Mareanie will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
Mareanie is a Poison- and Water-type Pokemon from the seventh generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Mareanie into Toxapex using 50 Mareanie Candy.
Shiny Mareanie is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Mareanie is two shades of pink, rather than blue and purple.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Mareanie to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
You can also activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive when completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you capture during this event.
