Players can collect extra Stardust for a limited time.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on January 30, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Foongus will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
Foongus is a Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Foongus into Amoonguss using 50 Foongus Candy.
Shiny Foongus is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Foongus has a purple Poke Ball design on its head, rather than a red Poke Ball design.
To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Foongus to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
You can also activate a Star Piece to earn 50 percent more Stardust when completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Star Piece bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Stardust for each Pokemon you capture during this event.
