Players can receive extra experience points for a limited time.
The first Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in 2024 will take place on January 2, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Normal Form Castform will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
Normal Form Castform is a Normal-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. It doesn’t evolve into any other Pokemon.
Shiny Normal Form Castform is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Normal Form Castform is lilac, rather than gray.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Normal Form Castform to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
You can also activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive when completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you capture during this event.
