A new Shiny Pokemon is coming to 'Pokemon Go.'
As spotted by Serebii.net, an “Out to Play” event is coming soon to Pokemon Go.
The Out to Play event will run from September 27, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time to October 2, 2023 at 8 p.m. local time.
Once this event begins, Shiny Hisuian Growlithe will become available to collect in Pokemon Go.
During this event, Psyduck, Growlithe, Onix, Eevee, Feebas, Woobat, and Pawmi will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Arcanine will also have the chance to appear in the wild, though the Pokemon Go website indicated it will be rarer than the other featured Pokemon.
Hisuian Growlithe will have the chance to hatch from 2 km and 7 km Eggs that are collected during this event. To be clear, Hisuian Growlithe will be available alongside the other Pokemon that are currently found in 2 km and 7 km Eggs. This means you won’t be guaranteed to hatch Hisuian Growlithe from these Eggs, and you may hatch a different Pokemon instead.
Three in-game bonuses will be active during this event:
Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to earn encounters with Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Sneasel, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Pawmi. Players will also be able to enter Showcases featuring Growlithe and Hisuian Growlithe.
Free Timed Research will be available during this event. Players will be able to complete this Timed Research to earn Stardust, in-game items, and encounters with Hisuian Growlithe.
Players will also have the option to purchase a separate set of Timed Research tasks for $2. If players complete this premium Timed Research, they’ll receive six encounters with Hisuian Growlithe, five encounters with Growlithe, two Incubators, and a Super Incubator.
Once this event begins, the Hisuian Growlithe Wig avatar item will be added to the in-game shop for 200 PokeCoins. It will continue to be available even after this event ends.
Finally, players will have the option to purchase event-themed item bundles during this event. Specifically, the Voyager Box will be available in the in-game store and the Ultra Hatch Box will be available on the Pokemon Go Web Store.
