Players will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Oddish.
As spotted by Serebii.net, an Oddish Research Day event is coming to Pokemon Go!
The Oddish Research Day event will take place on September 17, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
During this event, players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks to receive encounters with Oddish.
Oddish is a Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, Oddish can be evolved into Gloom using 25 Oddish Candy. Gloom has two possible evolutions. Players can evolve Gloom into Vileplume using 100 Oddish Candy, or they can evolve Gloom into Bellossom using 100 Oddish Candy and a Sun Stone.
Shiny Oddish is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Oddish is green, rather than blue.
Four in-game bonuses will be active during this event:
During this event, Paras, Venonat, Bellsprout, Shroomish, Roselia, Cacnea, Foongus, and Bounsweet will appear more frequently than normal in the wild.
Finally, players will be able to enter Oddish into Pokemon Showcases during this event.
