This event is coming soon!
The next Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on August 13, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
During this event, Froakie will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Froakie.
Froakie is a Water-type Pokemon from the sixth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Froakie into Frogadier using 25 Froakie Candy, and then evolve Frogadier into Greninja using 100 Froakie Candy.
Each time players evolve Frogadier into Greninja during this event or during the five hours immediately following it, Greninja will learn the move Hydro Cannon.
A number of in-game bonuses will be active during this event:
Two more bonuses will be active from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on August 13, 2023:
Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive Stardust, Ultra Balls, and encounters with Froakie, among other rewards. Players will also be able to collect event-themed stickers by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
Players will have the option to spend $1 on a ticket that will give them access to a Special Research storyline on Community Day called “A Bubbly Disposition.” Players will have the option to purchase this ticket for themselves, and they’ll also be able to purchase the ticket for their in-game friends.
Players will also have the option to purchase an “Ultra Community Day Box” from the Pokemon Go web store at a discounted price.
Finally, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on August 13, 2023, Frogadier will appear in Tier-4 Raid battles. When players defeat Frogadier in one of these Raids, Froakie will appear around the Gym that hosted the Raid for 30 minutes. You can learn more about these Tier-4 Raid battles on Pokemon Go’s website.
