Nintendo kicked off its “Mar10 Day” celebration with an event in New York City.
Nintendo recently kicked off a series of promotions to celebrate “Mar10 Day” (Mario Day) on March 10.
In addition to revealing a new Nintendo Switch Mario Choose One Bundle, Nintendo announced sales will take place throughout the month of March that will allow families to purchase Switch games featuring Mario and his friends at discounted prices.
To start, from March 5, 2023 to March 11, 2023, players will be able to save up to $20 on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Maker 2, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Mario Party Superstars and other games when they buy them from participating stores. During this sale, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit will also be available for $40 off.
A second sale will see Switch games discounted on the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo’s website throughout March and April 2023.
The first part of this sale will run from March 10, 2023 at 12 a.m. PT until March 23, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The games in this first portion of the sale will include Mario Party Superstars, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and Luigi’s Mansion 3.
The second part of this sale will run from March 24, 2023 at 12 a.m. PT until April 7, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The games in this part of this sale will include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
Once these sales begin, you’ll be able to browse the discounted games on Nintendo’s website.
Other Mar10 Day promotions for 2023 will include the release of Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass downloadable content (DLC) on March 9, 2023, a sweepstakes that will kick off on March 10 that will see one winner receive a trip to Super Mario World at Universal Studios Hollywood, in-store events at select GameStop stores on March 11, 2023, and more. To kick off its month of Mar10 Day festivities, Nintendo held an event for fans at its Nintendo NY store in New York City, which featured Ryan Kaji from the Ryan’s World YouTube series. Attendees, including children from the Boys & Girls Club, were allowed to meet Mario and Luigi, as well as play a variety of Mario-themed Nintendo Switch games. Kaji also played Switch games with some of his fans.
