Fortnite: Battle Royale also received a new update.
Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, announced the Fortnite Icon Series, a series of collaborations that will see new items added to Fortnite inspired by “top creators.”
The first creator to be featured in the Icon Series is Ninja, a super-popular video game streamer who is known, in part, for his Fortnite livestreams.
On January 16 at 7 p.m. ET, a set of items inspired by Ninja will be released in Fortnite’s item shop. You’ll be able to pick up the Ninja Outfit, Ninja’s Edge Back Bling, Ninja Style Emote, and Dual Katanas Pickaxe.
In the future, Epic said players can expect to see Icon Series collaborations with “Loserfruit, TheGrefg and more creators from games, music and entertainment.”
While we have to wait a bit for these Ninja-themed items to be released, as Polygon spotted, the latest Fortnite: Battle Royale update is available now.
The V11.40 update adds a “Sidegrading” feature to the game, which will allow you to “use Upgrade Machines to “Sidegrade” your Assault Rifle into a Heavy Assault Rifle.”
In addition, this update added the Flint-Knock Pistol, Shockwave Grenade, and Impulse Grenade to Battle Lab.
